About The Position

Humber River Health is seeking an EEG Technician to join their Neuro-Diagnostics Team. This role involves performing high-quality, non-invasive electroencephalographs for both pediatric and adult patient populations, including inpatients and outpatients. The position emphasizes working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team and utilizing technology to enhance patient care. Requirements

  • Successful completion of a 2 year C.B.R.E.T. or A.B.R.E.T. certified Hospital based Electrophysiology program; or minimum 2 year Clinical Electrophysiology technician experience.
  • Must be registered or be in the process of registering with the Canadian Board of Registration of Electroencephalograph Technologists, Inc. (CBRET) or the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.
  • Ability to operate equipment used for neuro-diagnostic testing.
  • Evidence of sound organizational, and problem solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2 years recent inpatient/outpatient EEG experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Cadwell medical equipment an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience with Meditech would be an asset.
  • An understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they relate to health practices is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Perform optimum quality, non-invasive electroencephalographs for the pediatric and adult patient populations.
  • Perform EEGs for inpatients and outpatients in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
