About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an EEG Tech for an exciting Travel or Local job in Los Angeles, CA. This position involves performing EEG procedures, including routine, sleep, and continuous monitoring. The role requires preparing patients, applying electrodes, monitoring brain activity, identifying abnormalities, and maintaining equipment. Collaboration with healthcare teams and adherence to safety protocols are essential.

Requirements

• Minimum two (2) years of EEG Tech experience
• Strong knowledge of neurodiagnostic procedures
• Experience in hospital or acute care setting preferred
• Associate Degree or completion of an accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology program
• Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.) through American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

• Travel experience preferred but not required
• Active California license (if required by facility)

Responsibilities

• Perform EEG procedures, including routine, sleep, and continuous monitoring
• Prepare patients for procedures and explain testing processes
• Apply electrodes and ensure proper placement for accurate readings
• Monitor and record brain activity during testing
• Identify abnormalities and document findings for physician review
• Maintain and calibrate EEG equipment
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
• Collaborate with neurologists and healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate patient records and test results
• Follow infection control and safety protocols
