The EEG Tech will perform routine, sleep-deprived, portable, and continuous EEG studies according to physician orders and departmental protocols. This role involves preparing patients for neurodiagnostic testing, applying electrodes using the International 10-20 System, and monitoring recording quality. The technician will also recognize and document significant abnormalities, artifacts, and patient events, maintain accurate patient documentation, and ensure proper operation and maintenance of EEG equipment. Adherence to infection prevention, patient safety, and departmental quality standards is crucial. Collaboration with neurologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals is expected to provide high-quality patient care.
