About The Position

This role involves performing Electroencephalograms (EEGs), ambulatory EEGs, and potentially Nerve Conduction Velocity testing. The technician will record the electrical activity of the patient's brain to aid in the study of epilepsy, convulsive disorders, and the localization of cerebral lesions. The position also includes assisting the Neurologist in maintaining the Neurodiagnostic Laboratory and identifying abnormal neurological disorders. A key aspect of this role is interacting professionally and respectfully with patients and their families.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
• 6 months of relevant experience required
• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required

Nice To Haves

• Engaged in self-study program for at least one type of registration or certification preferred
• 1 year of EEG Tech experience preferred
