EE Hardware III

Hewlett Packard Enterprise•Spring, TX
•$95,800 - $220,500•Onsite

About The Position

The EE Hardware III designs, analyzes, develops, modifies, and evaluates electrical and electronic parts, components, subsystems, algorithms, and integrated circuitry for equipment and hardware systems. The role conducts feasibility studies, design-margin and validation analyses, and empirical testing of new and modified designs; assists with architecture development and assessment; and evaluates the reliability of materials, properties, designs, and production techniques. It may direct support personnel in detailed design, testing, and prototype fabrication. At this level, the engineer applies developed subject-matter expertise to resolve common and sometimes complex technical problems, recommends alternatives, and exercises independent judgment while consulting others on how best to accomplish work. The role may lead projects, assist less-experienced professionals, and represent the electrical hardware team on complex development projects. This position is onsite, with the expectation of primarily working from an HPE office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Typically 4–6 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical design tools and software packages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to design electronic components, integrated circuitry, and algorithms.
  • Ability to use empirical analysis, modeling, and testing methodologies to validate component, circuit, and hardware designs and thermal/emissions management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery of English and the local language.
  • Ability to effectively communicate product architectures and design proposals, and negotiate options at management levels.

Responsibilities

  • Design engineering solutions for electrical and electronic parts, subsystems, integrated circuitry, and algorithms using established engineering principles and development practices.
  • Develop and implement parameters and test plans for new and existing designs, including validation of tolerances, form, fit, and function; shock and vibration; electromagnetic interference; safety; reliability; thermal generation; and system power measurements.
  • Collaborate and communicate with management and internal and outsourced development partners about design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
  • Lead a project team of electrical hardware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost-effective, high-quality solutions for moderately complex products.
  • Represent the electrical hardware team throughout all phases of larger and more complex development projects.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, design-margin and validation analyses, and empirical testing of new and modified designs.
  • Assist in architecture development and assessment, and evaluate the reliability of materials, properties, designs, and production techniques.
  • May direct support personnel in detailed design, design testing, and prototype fabrication.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive benefits supporting physical, financial, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Programs supporting personal and professional development and career goals.
