About The Position

The Educator in Family Health Services provides instruction and education to students, parents, and the community. The position delivers education according to the required curriculum, observes participants during practice, provides positive or corrective feedback, guides skill development, assesses competency, and provides remediation when needed. The educator also collaborates on educational programs and helps evaluate existing materials and programs to support high-quality services for Virtua. The role is per diem and on-site in Voorhees, New Jersey. Childbirth classes are held at least two evenings per month, with evening and weekend hours. Applicants must be an RN with an active New Jersey state license or a doula with a CBE certificate, and must have childbirth and labor-and-delivery experience. The hourly rate is $30.37–$47.20 and varies based on experience, internal equity, and market data.

Requirements

Evidence of good organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency in presentation techniques, good human relations skills, and knowledge of adult learning and group dynamics.
High school graduate.
Active New Jersey state RN license or CBE certificate for a doula, as applicable to the specialty area.
Appropriate certification.
Childbirth and labor-and-delivery experience.

Responsibilities
