About The Position

We’re looking for enthusiastic Educators (Children’s Services Employees) to join our friendly team at Joey’s Outside School Hours Care in Bracken Ridge on a casual basis. Located within the school grounds, we have access to great facilities for our OSHC's before school, after school, and vacation care programs, for up to 175 children. If you’re a dedicated, team-oriented educator who would love to make a difference in the life of young people, we’d love to welcome you to Joey’s. A day in the life of an OSHC Educator includes providing nurturing care for children, ensuring a safe, secure and welcoming environment, creating fun recreational and educational experiences that are inclusive for all, maintaining positive working relationships with all team members, and working collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families. There is an opportunity to attend fun excursions during vacation care, and you'll feel excited to come to work to make a difference to the lives of children in our care!

Requirements

• A Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services (or equivalent qualification as recognised by ACECQA) is desirable.
• Candidates currently working towards one of these qualifications are also encouraged to apply.
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• A passion for the education and care of school aged children in a play-based environment.
• Completed Child Safety Training Certificate, or willingness to attain.
• First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis
• Effective oral and written communication within the workplace
