Under the supervision of the home-based services supervisor, the family development educator is responsible for conducting weekly home visits with families, developing and implementing lesson plans, providing comprehensive services as outlined in the Head Start Program Performance Standards, and meeting program-required screening and assessment timelines. The role involves collecting and tracking medical information, organizing developmentally appropriate socializations and field trips, providing case management and counseling, maintaining accurate documentation, and assessing/documenting Family Partnership Plans. The educator will also participate in case conferencing, refer families to community services, develop community relationships, attend required meetings and training, and develop/implement activities for workshops and family nights. Additionally, the position requires monitoring child attendance, completing program data entry, participating in recruitment efforts, and performing other assigned duties.
