As a RN Educator who excels in this role: Provides educational offerings and materials based on the identified needs of the staff and the Nursing Education Council. Serves as a knowledge base and resource to consult with and educate nursing and medical staff, students and ancillary staff members. Coordinate, teach, and facilitate certification courses (BLS, ACLS, PALS, and other courses as requested and trained/capable to teach).

Requirements

  • Current state RN license
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Instructor certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Instructor certification
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Decisive judgment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
  • Current Utah state license or Compact License with Utah endorsement
  • Bachelor’s Degree Nursing (BSN)

Nice To Haves

  • One-year previous experience preferred
  • Master's Degree
