Middle School Educational Support Professional
About The Position
Cinnaminson Middle School is hiring a Special Education Educational Support Professional to work with middle school-aged students with special needs in a small-group setting. The position provides individualized instruction and support toward students’ academic, social, and/or behavioral goals. It is a 6.75-hour-per-day, 10-month position with benefits and possible tuition reimbursement and summer work opportunities. Newly hired state, local, and school employees must establish a principal residence in New Jersey within one year of their start date, effective September 1, 2011.
Requirements
- A calm and patient demeanor.
- Meet one of the following: have a minimum of 60 college credits; have a minimum of 48 college credits and 5 years of experience; or pass the ParaPro exam.
- Establish a principal residence in New Jersey within one year of the start date, as applicable to newly hired state, local, and school employees.
Responsibilities
- Assist middle school-aged students with special needs in a small-group setting.
- Provide individualized instruction supporting students’ academic, social, and/or behavioral goals.
