About The Position

Under the direction of the special education teacher, this role supports specialized instructions in academic, social, and motor skills through the delivery and assessment of the Individual Educational Plan (IEP) during the Extended School Year program. The program runs from July 6, 2026, to July 30, 2026, Monday through Thursday, with staff working from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The position is located at Fairview Elementary School.

Requirements

• Experience or familiarity with special education practices and accommodations
• Knowledge of experiential learning and intensive interventions

Responsibilities

• Work with individual and small groups of students
• Bring academic, social and motor issues to the attention of the classroom teacher
• Assist in preparation of classroom materials
• Maintain records, attendance and assessments as required by the classroom teacher
• Assist students with activities of daily living, including diapering and toileting needs if necessary
