About The Position

Annapolis Area Christian School (AACS) is seeking an Educational Support (special education) paraprofessional for their Upper School Campus (9th-12th grade). This is an hourly, school-year assignment requiring 35-40 hours per week, starting in August 2026 for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year. The Educational Support Program at AACS is dedicated to supporting students with learning differences, aligning with the school's core value of developing the whole child by honoring each student's unique gifts and challenges. The role involves providing direct instruction, assisting with peer teaching, supporting students with Educational Service Plans (ESPs) in general education classrooms, and collaborating with teachers to implement accommodations.

Requirements

Minimum of a high school diploma
Profess faith in Jesus Christ and be actively involved in a local church

Nice To Haves

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
A heart for serving students
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with learning differences

Responsibilities

Provides some direct instruction for students who have identified learning needs
Assists in peer teaching/coaching
Assists students with Educational Service Plans (ESP) in the general education classroom
Assists with providing accommodations in classroom assignments and curriculum for students with ESPs
Collaborates with general education teachers concerning students with ESPs and other student(s)
Works with individual students based on learning needs identified by the Educational Support team
Attends planning/progress monitoring meetings
