About The Position

The Educational Liaison, Early Head Start is responsible for education services, including school readiness for Early Head Start infants and toddlers. The role provides training, mentoring, and technical assistance to Early Head Start staff and governing bodies, and conducts quality controls and compliance monitoring related to educational requirements in the Head Start Performance Standards and Head Start Act. The position is full time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., in the Beaver, Pennsylvania area.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and two years of experience with infants and toddlers, or a bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of experience working with infants and toddlers.
Knowledge of infant and toddler development and education, family dynamics, adult learning principles, and laws and regulations.
Within 90 days of hire, obtain and maintain basic first aid and pediatric CPR certification.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
A valid driver's license that legally permits operating a motor vehicle in Pennsylvania, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance when using a personal vehicle.

Nice To Haves

Early Childhood Teaching Certificate.
Knowledge of community resources and referral experience assisting families in need of services.
Home visiting experience.
Bilingual English/Spanish speaking.
