About The Position

The Dedham Public Schools are looking for Educational Interventionists at the Dedham Middle School. This is a one year only position for the 2026-2027 school year. Dedham Public Schools seeks candidates who share our commitment to the advancement of students from underrepresented groups or who have been historically marginalized. The goal is to provide a supplemental educational program designed for students whose academic attainment is below the level appropriate for children of their age or grade level.

Requirements

MA DESE License (Preferred)
Consistent and dependable attendance
Frequent standing
Significant amounts of walking

Responsibilities

Implement developmentally appropriate activities and strategies, within classrooms and in separate settings, which support literacy and math.
Collaborate regularly with building based student assistance team.
Provide an environment of acceptance that supports and respects each child's gender, culture, language and ethnicity.
Assess student growth and progress through standardized and developmental assessments.
Review student data to inform instruction.
Maintain accurate and current student records.
Develop annual requests for materials and supplies to support established curriculum.
Strive to improve professional competence.
Exhibit dependability and punctuality in assigned duties.
Display appropriate personal and professional traits that exhibit a positive role model for students.
Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
Strive to achieve the objectives and expectations found in the Educator Evaluation Handbook.
Collaborate with other specialists and share pertinent information with building administration and intervention teams.
Attend meetings as required.
Complete other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee.
