About The Position

The Educational Coach at Shepherds College will assist students in a classroom setting to promote learning. You will work alongside other academic staff to support students with academic and behavioral needs. Shepherds College is a Christ-centered, post-secondary school for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, committed to growth through Appropriate Independence™. We exist to equip young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live with purpose, confidence, and faith. Requirements

• Background as a special education paraprofessional, educator, or caregiver

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in assigned areas before and after classes
• Assist students with academic tasks and organizational skills
• Manage classroom disruptions
• Facilitate the work of students in small groups
• Work one-on-one with students, as needed
