About The Position
Educational Assistants empower individuals with developmental disabilities through compassionate teaching, positive behavior support, and meaningful skill development. The King's Daughters' School promotes independence through educational, residential and community services for individuals with developmental disabilities, continuing a 100-year legacy of service. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Physical stamina (you'll be active, not stuck in a chair)
- Able to pass drug screen and background checks (no felonies, no abuse, assault, or neglect convictions)
- Dependable- a consistent routine is important for our clients
- Willing to complete TB skin test and work physical upon hire
Nice To Haves
- No experience with developmental disabilities? No problem! We prefer candidates with some background, but we're willing to train the right person who shows genuine interest and dedication.
Responsibilities
- Teach and support life, social, and job skills development.
- Provide positive behavior guidance and supervision.
- Assist with classroom activities, training, and documentation.
- Help individuals build independence in a safe, caring environment.
