About The Position

The Educational Assistant at The King’s Daughters’ School supports students with developmental disabilities as they learn, grow, and become more independent. Working alongside teachers and classroom coordinators, the assistant provides hands-on support with academics, social skills, behavior, personal care, daily living skills, and job skills. The work is active and varied, with opportunities to make a difference in students’ lives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Physical stamina to remain active throughout the workday.
• Pass a drug screen and background checks; applicants must not have felony convictions or convictions involving abuse, assault, or neglect.
• Dependability and consistency, as a routine is important for clients.
• Willingness to complete a TB skin test and work physical upon hire.
• Patience, compassion, and a hands-on approach.
• Ability to work as part of a team and remain calm while making good decisions.
