About The Position
Our Administrative and Clerical positions support the business from multiple locations and via various functions across the nation. Rehab Without Walls, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, is a revolutionary neurorehabilitation program that moves individuals outside the walls of institutional settings and into their natural home and community environment through a continuum of care. It is designed to significantly help people who have primarily experienced a brain injury, spinal cord injury, or stroke/CVA through accident or illness regain functional capabilities. By providing care in the home, community, workplace, or school, Rehab Without Walls promotes greater health through the recovery process, all with industry-leading outcomes that dramatically improve functional skills and independence for patients. Our residential school is located on 43 acres outside the city of San Marcos, Texas. The homes and academic classrooms are centrally located to one another to allow for continuity of services between academics and residential living. In addition, day services are available for students who need a specialized educational setting but wish to live at home with their families. Texas Hill Country School is licensed as a residential treatment center by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and our academic program is approved by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) as a non-public school. Our Texas Hill Country School specializes in working with students who have been unsuccessful in other educational settings. This program accepts children and adolescents, ages 6-22, with acquired brain injuries, developmental disabilities including autism spectrum disorder, and a host of other neurological and psychological problems.
Requirements
- Minimum of high school diploma or General Educational Development certificate
- Experience working with students in academic or an approved equivalent setting
- Demonstrates effective and professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Able to work independently and part of a team
- Has reliable transportation and able to travel to/from multiple locations on a daily basis

- Current Texas Education Agency Educational Aide certificate
Responsibilities
- Performs routine tasks under the direction and supervision of a certified teacher or teaching team
- Releases the teacher from routine tasks and participates in selecting, planning, organizing, and evaluating
- Helps the teacher with clerical operations
- Helps the teacher supervise students in routine movement from one recreational activity to another
- Helps supervise the playground, bus and lunchroom
- Helps the teacher prepare and use instructional media
- Duplicates instructional materials for teachers
- Performs classroom clerical operations under the supervision of a certified teacher
- Performs equivalent activities determined
- Performs other tasks as assigned
