About The Position

This position involves creating and leading Therapeutic Horticulture (TH) programming for diverse populations. Responsibilities include recruiting participants, developing protocols, collecting data, and writing grant proposals to support TH programming. The role also encompasses volunteer management, including recruiting Master Gardeners and students, creating and managing an online TH training program for volunteers, and organizing in-service training. Additionally, the position requires documenting progress in TH participant groups and promoting the UF Wilmot Botanical Gardens TH program through various channels. Greenhouse management is also a key aspect, involving the oversight of a 2,700 sqft greenhouse, purchasing plants and supplies, training and managing work-study students and volunteers, and leading TH presentations and tours.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
