About The Position

Resmed is seeking an Education and Training Coordinator to join their manufacturing plant in Calabasas, CA. This role is critical for the RLA (Resmed Calabasas) Facility, focusing on developing and supporting the overall associate training program. The purpose is to deploy an effective, efficient, and integrated training system to build required associate capabilities, enable competent performance, and support the onboarding and development of both new and existing employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Human Resources, or a related field OR 3-5 years of relevant experience in education in training, preferably in a business environment
  • Background in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with instructional design theory and implementation
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to deal effectively with the uncertainty of change
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and work together with employees within all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work with confidentiality
  • Excellent computer skills with experience in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision

Responsibilities

  • Develop the overall education and training program and strategies for the site.
  • Work closely with the site leadership team on training and coaching all employees.
  • Develop standardized and robust training & Coaching plans for all operational employees including Supervisors, Team Leaders, Line Leaders & Technicians; building the appropriate training standards and validation procedures to effectively communicate and eliminate factory losses.
  • Work closely with the People Team, including Talent Acquisition and temporary Agencies updating the induction and training plans for newcomers.
  • Facilitate the role building production associate capability, assigning clear responsibilities and required skills; identify gaps to build training courses and curriculum.
  • Create the factory skills matrix; ensuring this is kept up to date with the outputs of Associate validation.
  • Ensure appropriate knowledge management methodologies are applied to maintain, share and update recorded knowledge within the site’s information structure.
  • Facilitate the Training design and development methodology with support from the Subject Matter Experts (i.e. Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Safety, QF&S, etc.) in a way to drive standardization and simplification across the sites.
  • Training & Coaching on all E&T processes, systems and tools.
  • Provide leadership, objectives, feedback, and performance coaching to all production employees involved in site education and training programs, especially on the job trainers and expert trainers.
  • Create and support framework to ensure successful onboarding for new employees according to standard.
  • Provide administrative support as required.
  • Other admin tasks and other duties as assigned.
