About The Position

The Classroom and Events Technology Support (CETS) is the team that provides audio-visual and related support for the technology in the classrooms, conference rooms, and for special events, both on and off campus. CETS supports all UNT Health students, faculty, and staff. This position will be responsible for day to day activities assigned to them as well as problem resolution to support users within the UNT Health campus in Fort Worth. Assist with complex problem solutions within the Classroom and Events Technology Support (CETS) projects to ensure high quality of AV/IT and customer service delivery across UNT Health.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong oral and written communications skills.
Ability to assimilate, retain, and utilize technical information.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to work with considerable independence and initiative.
Proficiency in supporting various operating systems and software applications, including Mac OS X, Windows, iOS, and Microsoft Office.
Basic knowledge of audiovisual technologies, televisions, projectors and sound systems.
Technical skills in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining classroom technology.
Capability to provide immediate technical support in classrooms during lessons.

Nice To Haves

Microsoft software, Apple software, computer hardware, basic audiovisual knowledge of televisions, projectors and sound systems.
Good mechanical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

Set up and strike equipment for classes, meetings and other events on campus.
Answer phones and email that come in to the CETS department mailbox in a timely manner.
Assist inperson customers with campus technology questions or requests for equipment.
Provide technical support during events if requested.
Assist the Room Scheduling Office with corrections to requests.
Input Facilities work request on damaged or broken equipment in classrooms or conference rooms that are not technology related.
Maintain current list of CETS inventory in classrooms and in storage area.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment cleaning/replacing filters on projectors, inspecting equipment that is returned from checkout, replace damaged cables in classrooms, replace batteries in microphones and wireless presenters.
Operate cameras and/or production switch board during live streaming events.
Input tickets into Service Now once service is completed.
Assist faculty/staff/students with basic classroom/conference room AV training.
AV installations in classrooms, conference rooms and office space around campus.
