About The Position
Seeking a Special Education Teacher for an Autistic Support Classroom at the elementary or middle school level. This is a contracted position.
Requirements
- Valid PA Special Education Teacher certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with elementary students.
- ABA and Verbal Behavior programming.
- In-depth knowledge of the Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) process.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement specialized programming for student needs related to Autism, including behavioral, social, communication, and sensory.
- Design, implementation, and maintenance of Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs).
- Effective organization of ongoing data collection.
- Effective organization of paraeducator support staff to support student needs.
- Effective collaboration and planning with general education staff to support meaningful inclusion.
- Effective parent collaboration.
