About The Position

Malden High School is seeking an Education Support Professional to work in a substantially separate classroom with a partial inclusion program for students with special needs. The position works under the daily direction of a licensed Special Education Teacher and a BCBA experienced in autism, developmental delays, and other severe neurological disabilities. The role provides tutoring and support services in classroom, small-group, and one-to-one settings; supports students in achieving academic, social, and behavioral goals established by the special education team; and contributes to a collaborative, transdisciplinary instructional approach with teachers and specialists. The position requires knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication methods, sensory diets, reinforcement schedules, and behavior-management techniques. Toileting, diapering, and heavy lifting may be required. Requirements

• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis and experience keeping performance data.
• Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication methods, sensory diets, reinforcement schedules, and behavior-management techniques.
• Ability to support students in achieving academic, social, and behavioral goals.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and specialists.
