The Education Specialist ensures regulatory and legal compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role serves as a resource for education services to maintain best practices and effective service delivery to children from birth to age 12 across multiple locations in Orange and Riverside Counties. The position involves supporting the implementation of TRF’s Education Services and Systems, developing policies and procedures, ensuring facility safety, and coordinating program data for reviews and audits. Additionally, the specialist will participate in hiring, training, and onboarding education staff, provide coaching and guidance to site teams, conduct classroom observations, and offer resources and strategies for implementing developmentally appropriate practices. The role also includes ongoing monitoring of child development services and establishing appropriate staffing levels. A key aspect is promoting best practices based on various regulations and providing training and guidance to staff, parents, and the community. Coaching and mentoring sessions for teaching staff are regular occurrences, along with staff development for new hires. The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Behavioral Sciences with an AA Degree in ECE, a current CTC Site Supervisor Permit (Program Director Permit preferred), and a minimum of three years of supervisory experience with specific assessment tools. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential, along with knowledge of relevant software and training principles. Additional requirements include criminal background clearance, a physical examination, TB test, proof of immunizations, and mandated child abuse training.
