This position participates in the identification and planning of work unit education. It assists in the development of educational programs for medical trainees such as pathologists, residents, fellows, and post-docs, as directed by laboratory leadership and Residency and Fellowship Program Directors. The role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining clinical laboratory education programs for students and interns rotating in the laboratory, ensuring compliance with affiliate program requirements and collaborating with Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences and laboratory/Division/Department leadership. Additionally, it develops, implements, and maintains new employee training and education programs in collaboration with laboratory and division leadership to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. The position also supports clinical education faculty with formal education programs within the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences (MCSHS) as assigned, and teaches, trains, and mentors students and employees. A key responsibility is the development, implementation, and maintenance of a competency program. Individuals hired into this role are required to complete two years in this position before becoming eligible to transfer to other positions within Mayo Clinic. Visa sponsorship is not available, and this position does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.
