About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Education Director, this position is responsible for providing administrative support for the Cultural Warriors program. The position provides foundational administrative and operational support through maintaining records, organizing supplies, and assisting with logistics.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work well on own initiative and within a team
  • Proficient in computer applications, including word processors, spreadsheets, database software, and online survey applications
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and attentive to details
  • Knowledge of Alaska Native cultures
  • High School Diploma
  • One year of administrative experience or equivalent office

Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain documents, supplies and inventory.
  • Track data and prepare initial purchase request forms (PRFs) for program supplies.
  • Initiate communication regarding travel logistics, gear purchase, and support meeting scheduling.
  • File and manage program documentation.
  • Assist to administer and ensure the timely completion of pre/post surveys by project participants.
  • Assist with project outreach to encourage participation in the project.
  • Support planning of monthly cultural mentorships, annual cultural ceremony, and a career exploration workshop.
  • Organizes and prioritizes large volumes of information and incoming inquiries and other phone calls.
  • Schedules and organizes complex activities, such as meetings, conferences, and department activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
