About The Position

Grand Canyon University (GCU) partners with nonprofit organizations that improve the quality of life for community residents. GCU has a partnership with Iglesia Aliento/Breath Church, which supports newly arrived immigrants in the Phoenix area by connecting them with essential community services like healthcare, food assistance, legal aid, housing resources, and citizenship courses. This CSLP student worker position supports Iglesia Aliento's mission, with a work schedule dependent on their hours of operation and needs. Student workers may not exceed 20 hours per week during the academic year and are eligible to work during the summer. This position is approved as Community Service, providing services to non-GCU community members, particularly low-income individuals, to improve their quality of life or solve problems related to their needs. All FWS and FWS-CSLP positions require applicants to complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be reviewed for FWS-eligibility and awarded FWS.
