About The Position

The Education Coordinator is responsible for maintaining Clinical Education records, including in-services, educational workshops, annual competencies, skills days, and clinical orientation. This role documents the completion of educational sessions in the learning management system and coordinates student rotations, including tracking student documentation and orientation. The coordinator works with the Director of Clinical Education or Clinical Educator to monitor and schedule students in appropriate departments and facilitates the evaluation of student experiences. Additionally, the Education Coordinator assists in gathering and updating handout materials for Clinical Orientation, Annual Competency In-Services, and other assigned in-services. They are responsible for correspondence with Nursing Directors regarding staff compliance, notifying directors of noncompliance, and providing necessary resources. This role also assists in the development and maintenance of hospital-wide departmental orientation manuals, collaborating with directors and educators to produce department-specific competencies, skills checklists, and other relevant references. Regular communication with directors and educators is essential for updating manuals based on accreditation and regulatory requirements. The position also includes general secretarial duties such as meeting setup, correspondence, answering telephones, maintaining files, and assisting with preparedness for accrediting and regulatory organization site visits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • One (1) year of related experience
  • Prior experience in healthcare preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must relocate to Grand Junction, CO 81505 before starting work

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining Clinical Education records (in-services, educational workshops, annual competencies, skills days, clinical orientation, etc.)
  • Documenting completion of educational sessions in the learning management system

  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of hospital-wide departmental orientation manuals
  • Updating manuals based on accreditation and regulatory requirements
  • Performing general secretarial duties (meeting setup, agendas, rosters, minutes, attendance reminders)
  • Answering telephone, routing calls, and taking messages
  • Maintaining files
  • Assisting in maintaining preparedness for accrediting and regulatory organization site visits
