Education Coordinator I (BSN): Nursing Education
About The Position
The Education Coordinator I (Nurse Educator I) serves as the educational resource for assigned service line. Assesses the educational needs of assigned area and provides in servicing, classes, on-line modules and other educations materials to achieve educational goals. Ensures that sound theoretical and technical criteria are established and incorporates evidence based practices. Participates in meeting or exceeding goals for quality indicators. Oversees orientation for newly hired employees and annual skills review. Maintains competencies for assigned clinical staff. Serves as a mentor to frontline staff in innovation and research projects. Education Coordinators assigned to inpatient hospital departments(s) are responsible for compliance in CMS Quality Outcome and Safety Indicators and in a Magnet facility, exceeding Magnet outcome indicator benchmarks. Based on service line, coordinates and participates in re-certification programs. Performs other duties as assigned.
