About The Position

NCA is seeking an Education Consultant in the Philadelphia area to collaborate with families, trustees, medical providers, and school teams in both general and special education. The role involves advocating for students' best interests to maximize their learning potential within public and private school systems.

Requirements

Minimum of a Master’s degree in the field of education.
Strong understanding of IDEA.
Experience in special education processes, including navigating referrals, evaluations, IEPs, and NOREP/PWNs.
Strong computer skills, including video conferencing.
Strong organization and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with behavioral interventions.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with families, trustees, medical providers, and school teams.
Work with both general and special education capacities.
Advocate for the best interests of the individual student to maximize learning potential.
Work with public and private school entities.
Travel to attend client school meetings.
Problem solve and research potential solutions for educational programming affected by medical needs.
Communicate effectively and in a timely manner through both written and verbal expression.
Collaborate with others in a respectful and efficient manner to reach desirable outcomes for clients.
