About The Position

NCA is in search of an Education Consultant based in Texas to work collaboratively with families, trustees, medical providers, and school teams, both in general and special education capacities. Candidates must be willing to advocate for the best interests of the individual student to maximize learning potential while working with public and private school entities.

Requirements

Minimum of a Master’s degree in the field of education.
Strong understanding of IDEA.
Experience in the special education processes.
Strong computer skills, including video conferencing.

Experience with behavioral interventions.
Strong organization and time management skills.
Flexibility to travel to attend client school meetings.
Willingness to collaborate with others in a respectful and efficient manner to reach desirable outcomes for clients.
Ability to problem solve and research potential solutions while addressing educational programming that may be affected by medical needs.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with families, trustees, medical providers, and school teams in general and special education capacities.
Advocate for the best interests of the individual student to maximize learning potential.
Work with public and private school entities.
Navigate referrals, evaluations, IEPs, and NOREP/PWNs.
Address educational programming that may be affected by medical needs.
Travel to attend client school meetings.
Communicate effectively and in a timely manner through both written and verbal expression.
Collaborate with others in a respectful and efficient manner to reach desirable outcomes for clients.
Problem solve and research potential solutions.
