This position is located in the Baton Rouge, LA Office of Teaching & Learning - Diverse Learners Job Focus Area. At the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE), the mission is to ensure all students, especially those with diverse learning needs, have access to a high-quality education that prepares them for lifelong success. Within the Office of Teaching and Learning, the Division of Diverse Learners leads statewide efforts supporting students with disabilities and English learners through policy, data, and strategic support. This role serves as a key leader and subject matter expert, overseeing IDEA data reporting, fiscal guidance, compliance support, and policy implementation across the state. The position also supervises a team of three staff and works closely with internal divisions and school systems to ensure alignment, accuracy, and strong outcomes for students. This is a unique opportunity to influence statewide systems, shape policy, and directly support school systems through data-driven decision-making, compliance guidance, and cross-division collaboration.
