Do you enjoy meeting new people, organizing events, and helping others succeed? If so, Cobb EMC is looking for an energetic and motivated Education & Community Relations Intern to join our team! Based on the attached position description, this internship offers hands-on experience supporting community outreach initiatives, educational programs, and special events throughout the communities we serve.

Requirements

• Completed at least your sophomore year of college
• Pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
• Enjoy public speaking and engaging with diverse audiences
• Strong organizational and project management abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications
• Love working with people and giving back to the community

Responsibilities

• Assisting with planning, coordinating, and facilitating community events, service projects, and meetings
• Supporting educational programs that connect students, educators, and families with valuable learning opportunities
• Participating in career days, literacy initiatives, career fairs, and STEM programming
• Helping organize and support the exciting Solar Sprint Competition
• Assisting with scholarship programs and community campaigns that help shape future leaders
• Preparing communications, information packets, and outreach materials
• Supporting programs that benefit foster care children and families, senior centers, assisted living communities, and special-needs families
• Representing Cobb EMC at community events and school functions throughout the service area
