About The Position

First Children Services is hiring for multiple education and clinical staff openings in Plainfield, North Bergen, and the surrounding Northern New Jersey region. Available roles include special education teachers, Teachers of the Deaf (TOD) and related instructional roles, paraprofessionals or instructional aides, and clinic-based Behavior Technicians (BTs), with training provided for BT roles. Candidates will be matched with opportunities suited to their experience and goals across school, clinic, and behavioral health settings. The organization serves children with behavioral, mental health, and physical needs and describes its work as collaborative and mission-driven. Both full-time exempt and part-time non-exempt roles are available. Compensation depends on experience, education, background, and certification: teachers earn $61,000–$80,000 annually, paraprofessionals earn $19.50–$22.00 per hour, and BTs earn $21.00–$28.00 per hour.
