About The Position

The Education & Research Coordinator serves as a central resource for the Education & Research Department, supporting workforce development, educational programs, research activities, and community engagement initiatives across Central Health. This hybrid position involves working both remotely and onsite, coordinating the Central Texas Healthcare Academy (CTHA) and other education and workforce programs. The role focuses on promoting healthcare careers and creating pathways to education, training, and employment. The Coordinator provides administrative, operational, and programmatic support for Community Health Worker (CHW) and Medical Assistant (MA) apprenticeship programs, K-12 student engagement initiatives, and various learner programs. Key responsibilities include coordinating onboarding, scheduling, communications, program logistics, data tracking, reporting, and research operations, while maintaining strong partnerships and supporting departmental events and projects.

Associates Degree (higher degree accepted) - Required
3 years of Customer Service Experience - Required

Responsibilities

Coordinate and support the Central Texas Healthcare Academy (CTHA) in collaboration with school districts, healthcare organizations, and industry partners.
Serve as a liaison between Central Health, educational institutions, community organizations, and healthcare partners to support workforce development and educational initiatives.
Coordinate observational and experiential learning opportunities that align with curriculum requirements and healthcare career pathways.
Manage student experiences, including shadowing, tours, career exploration activities, and workforce development events.
Develop, maintain, and facilitate a network of healthcare professionals to provide classroom presentations, mentorship, career panels, and student engagement opportunities.
Support recruitment, engagement, and retention efforts for CTHA and other education and workforce development programs.
Provide administrative and operational support for Community Health Worker (CHW) and Medical Assistant (MA) apprenticeship programs, including scheduling, documentation, tracking, compliance, and reporting.
Monitor local labor market trends and healthcare workforce needs to inform educational programming, workforce development strategies, and career pathway initiatives.
Collect, maintain, analyze, and report program data, outcomes, and performance metrics for grants, departmental reports, and stakeholder updates.
Gather and analyze participant and stakeholder feedback to identify opportunities for program enhancement and continuous improvement.
Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of educational events, workforce development activities, meetings, conferences, and community outreach initiatives.
Support the development, coordination, and distribution of the monthly Clinical Services Newsletter, including content collection, editing, stakeholder engagement, and publication support.
Assist in the development, compilation, design, and annual publication of the Education & Research Department booklet, highlighting departmental programs, learner achievements, outcomes, and key accomplishments.
Support the maintenance of the Scholarly Activity website, including collecting content, tracking publications and presentations, updating faculty and learner accomplishments, and ensuring information is current and accurate.
Prepare correspondence, presentations, reports, promotional materials, and other communications to support departmental operations and strategic initiatives.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to advance departmental goals and educational opportunities.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned in support of the Education & Research Department.
