About The Position

Oversees the competency of staff performance and monitors performance quality and productivity standards by reviewing system input and ensuring compliance to divisional standards. Analyzes departmental processes for the purpose of implementing enhanced system functionality. Assists in identifying problem causes, designing solutions, modifying the application or process, testing, implementation and documentation of the solution. Responsible for developing and maintaining an education program for new and current revenue cycle employees, which may include systems and process training. Responsible for assisting management with the development of audit tools and processes and may also assist in the development of corrective action plans as needed. Must have a thorough understanding of comprehensive Revenue Cycle operations.

  • Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization
  • Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures
  • Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs)
  • Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
  • Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.
  • 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in a related field, alternatively will accept an Associate's degree with 7-8 years of experience (Required)
  • 3 - 4 years in an acute care hospital revenue cycle department with extensive knowledge of Patient Access, Coding, Charge Entry/Audit and Patient Accounting functions (Required)
  • Certified Patient Account Representative (CPAR) within 12 months of hire
