About The Position

Advises and counsels individuals who may include current students, prospective students, recent graduate students, and/or faculty and staff. Provides guidance in relation to careers and academic information. Acts as a liaison to various employee and student groups.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree in relevant area
  • One (1) year of appropriate experience.
  • Relevant experience may substitute for required education.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Advises students on appropriate options and opportunities for studying abroad; promotes education abroad opportunities to campus constituents
  • Develops appropriate information materials for program promotion and recruitment.
  • Communicates with and assists students while abroad.
  • Coordinates the application process and provides pre-departure and re-entry orientation.
  • Provides support to incoming J-1 students including application, onboarding, arrival and orientation;
  • Works with relevant academic units to ensure exchange student inclusion and success; Plans and delivers social events for incoming exchange; Serves as responsible Officer for SEVIS and processes form DS2019 for exchange students.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
