About The Position

The Wire EDM Operator is responsible for operating electrical discharge machining (EDM) equipment to produce precision components according to specifications. Pay range: $20.00 - $27.00 DOE. Every day at Hubbell is different and you’ll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you’ll make a difference by:

Set up, and operate EDM machines
Inspect parts produced to verify conformance to quality standards
Perform routine machine maintenance to ensure that it is running properly.
Choose correct program and enter all necessary parameters into machine control
Clean and conduct preventative maintenance of machines
Keeps equipment and work area clean and organized.
Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, height gage, and indicators.

Other duties may be assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• Minimum 1 year of experience operating a Wire EDM machine
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Understanding and application of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document processes
• Commitment to safety and quality standards

Nice To Haves

• Background in R&D, prototyping, or high-mix environments
