About The Position

We're looking for a skilled EDM Operator to join our growing manufacturing team. In this role, you'll program, set up, and operate advanced EDM equipment to produce high-precision tooling components for industry-leading customers. Working with 3D models and cutting-edge software, you'll play an important role in delivering first-time quality while collaborating with engineering and production teams. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
3-5 years of experience programming EDM machines
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and work instructions
Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality tooling
Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Ability to prioritize work and meet production deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to climb stairs and reach above shoulder height or below the waist as required
Ability to distinguish colors and perform detailed visual inspections
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, fumes, and other industrial conditions
Ability to work a rotating day and afternoon (swing shift) schedule
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and other safety equipment

Nice To Haves

3-5 years of EDM machining experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred
Experience with Cimatron software is preferred; Mastercam experience is considered an asset

Responsibilities

Program, set up, and operate EDM machines using Cimatron and/or Mastercam software
Import, manipulate, and process 3D models for machining
Machine mold components, including cores, cavities, and precision details
Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and work instructions
Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments and probing equipment to ensure first-time quality
Complete quality documentation and report any deviations from specified tolerances
Troubleshoot machining issues and make programming or process adjustments as required
Perform basic preventive maintenance and initiate repair requests when necessary
Assist with the repair and maintenance of tooling and equipment as needed
Maintain accurate production documentation and communicate project status between shifts
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow customer specifications, quality standards, and lean manufacturing practices
Participate in team meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives
