About The Position

Requirements

Minimum 3-5 years of experience setting up and running EDMs or minimum 3-5 years of experience setting up and running CNC Lathes and Mills or Technical Training College with the focus of study being CNC setups and operation.
Ability to read blue prints and knowledge of GD&T a must
Knowledge of Esprit programs with understanding of cutting parameters.
An understanding of both the Metric and English measuring systems a must.
Ability to use a variety of measuring equipment.
High School Diploma or Technical Training Certificate.

Responsibilities

Setup, operate and debug Sodick Wire EDMs.
Make machine tool offsets as needed to maintain part quality.
Make minor program changes to M & G code as needed.
Identifies signs of tool wear and then makes the appropriate process or tool change(s).
Reads process sheets and mechanical drawings with the understanding of GD&T.
Works on multiple machines and performs multiple tasks throughout the day.
Uses general measuring instruments such as; indicators, micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, gage blocks, rules, protractor and height gages.
Enters inspection data into a computer software program.
Performs basic machine maintenance such as changing fluids and filters.
Maintains a clean work environment and machine work area.
Follows company written policy and documented procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
