About The Position

The editorial specialist student employee is responsible for managing content for the Lindenwood Legacy and Lindenlink news outlet. This role supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence. The employee will model, support, and hold others accountable to the University’s values. This position requires excellent editorial skills, leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. The work environment is a general office setting with standard business hours, and the position is fully on-ground. Requirements

• Currently enrolled at Lindenwood University
• Good academic and financial standing with the university
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent editorial skills
• Leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Edits stories for online and print publications
• Sets deadlines for both entities and maintains adherence
• Oversees story assignments and ensures content preparation
• Maintains professional integrity in the completion of all job duties
• Collaborates with the editorial board to facilitate story ideas
• Collaborates regularly with faculty and Lindenlink/Legacy advisors
• Organizes logistics for planning and posting of stories
• Schedules and conducts interviews with administrators
• Job may require other duties as assigned.
