About The Position

Supporting a large social technology company with editorial design work.

Requirements

• Experience curating an editorial surface at volume — an app store, marketplace, magazine, channel or curated feed.
• Demonstrated experience writing short-form UI and product copy to strict character counts, at high volume, with consistent quality.
• Working proficiency in image tooling (Photoshop, Figma, or equivalent) sufficient to recompose, extract, and rebuild assets against a spec without design support.
• Experience applying generative tooling in production work, with judgment about its limitations and appropriate use.
• Experience holding a quality standard with internal and external stakeholders who have competing incentives.
• Experience operating independently — setting your own process, calendar, and prioritization without a dedicated editorial team.

Responsibilities

• Own curation and ordering across the discovery surface: the editorial rail, the Explore grid, Editors' Pick, and the Top Five. Set the calendar and be able to articulate the rationale behind every placement.
• Define and hold the asset quality bar. Evaluate submissions against spec for safe areas, blur lines, aspect ratios, character counts, and clearance.
• Brief partners through the Partnerships team on asset requirements, and iterate the briefs so first-time submission quality improves over time.
• Repair or produce assets directly when a submission is close or when a partner cannot supply, recomposing crops, pulling native vertical cuts, rebuilding marks to spec, verifying legibility at small sizes.
• Write all surface copy to tight character limits: titles, short descriptions with (limited characters), benefit-first because the line truncates rather than wraps, long descriptions in plain prose, and Editors' Pick quotes in a human voice.
• Use generative tooling where appropriate, with clear judgment about where the line sits on shipping model-generated assets, and label them accordingly.
• Partner with design, product, and Partnerships on the content system, Developer Center, and review surfaces — and surface what is slow, broken, or missing in those tools.
