About The Position

Bryn Mawr Communications (BMC), a subsidiary of US HealthConnect (USH), is seeking an experienced Editor to join the Content and Editorial team. This role is responsible for supporting the development, editing, and quality assurance of BMC's digital content and promotional initiatives, including video and podcast programming, newsletters, online publications, and client-sponsored campaigns. The Editor will collaborate closely with editorial, digital, and marketing teams to ensure all content meets BMC's industry-leading standards for accuracy, quality, and timeliness while helping to enhance and evolve our digital platforms and audience engagement strategies.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in Journalism, Biomedical Science, Health Science, Communications, or related field
  • At least 3+ years of editorial and publishing experience, preferably with a medical communications company or health publisher
  • Laser focus on maximizing quality, attention to detail, and continuous improvement processes with the goal of maximizing efficiency of operations
  • Strong ability to juggle multiple projects with competing deadlines and bring new ideas to the table
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A curious mind and love of learning, with interest in medical/biologic research
  • Experience with digital assets, such as videos, podcasts, and more
  • Interest in social storytelling through Twitter, LinkedIn, and more
  • Comfort conducting medical and scientific literature searches, including via PubMed
  • Rigorous commitment to quality, clarity, and consistency in writing, including following a specific style manual
  • Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Office products and Google products (eg, Sheets, Docs, Drive, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign) a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage editorial development and quality control for BMC's digital content, including video programs, podcasts, newsletters, online publications, and promotional campaigns.
  • Create, edit, and review content for BMC Vision video and podcast episodes, including sponsored programming, ensuring accuracy and adherence to editorial standards.
  • Write, edit, and proofread email promotions and client-sponsored eblasts, ensuring error-free content, functional links, and on-time deployment.
  • Support Eyetube video content submissions and online publication workflows, including content review and copy preparation.
  • Collaborate with editorial, digital, and marketing teams to maintain production schedules and ensure alignment across projects.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance digital content platforms, audience engagement, and promotional initiatives.
  • Maintain the highest standards of editorial quality, accuracy, and timeliness across all digital programming and client-facing content.
