About The Position

Vamonos IT is seeking an experienced eDiscovery Engineer, responsible for architecting, operating, and optimizing the full lifecycle of enterprise eDiscovery and compliance workflows. The ideal candidate would deliver advanced eDiscovery workflows across litigation, investigations, regulatory inquiries, and compliance matters. This role serves as the primary technical partner to in‑house counsel and outside counsel, translating legal strategy into precise technical execution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant IT experience supporting Microsoft 365 eDiscovery and enterprise data collection services
  • Strong experience using Microsoft Purview eDiscovery (Standard and Premium), retention policies, compliance workflows, and legal hold mechanisms in M365
  • Experience constructing Keyword Query Language (KeyQL) for eDiscovery searches
  • Strong expertise with Microsoft Exchange (on-premises, hybrid, and Microsoft 365)
  • Strong understanding of defensible data handling, chain-of-custody, and regulatory compliance principles
  • Expert knowledge of PowerShell, especially as related to eDiscovery
  • Strong documentation, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

  • Prior knowledge of RelativityOne eDiscovery platform
  • Prior knowledge of Archive360 search and export workflows

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an expert on M365 enterprise eDiscovery Purview.
  • Build and optimize search queries, filters and analytics workflows across multiple eDiscovery platforms (such as Purview and RelativityOne).
  • Develop defensible search methodology documentation, sampling methods, and validation processes to withstand judicial scrutiny.
  • Leverage Microsoft Purview admin center and Windows PowerShell cmdlets to manage discovery operations and support continuous process improvement.
  • Execute advanced content searches, keyword queries, and analytics to ensure accurate, relevant, and defensible discovery results.
  • Configure, maintain, and enhance matter workspaces, review sets, tagging schemas, role-based access, and audit workflows.
  • Support or oversee the technical execution of legal holds, ensuring accurate custodial identification and data preservation.
  • Provide training and support to legal and compliance stakeholders and assist in development of policies, procedures, and process documentation.
