About The Position

The EDI Data Support Clerk I plays a critical behind-the-scenes role supporting CCMSI’s Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) operations. This position is responsible for accurately entering, validating, and submitting injury and accident data to various state agencies in compliance with regulatory requirements. This is an in-office, high-volume data role ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working independently after training, and capable of maintaining speed and accuracy in a structured environment. Success in this role requires focus, organization, and a strong commitment to data quality and timeliness. The EDI team works in a fast-paced, multitasking environment. Once trained, employees are expected to manage their responsibilities with minimal supervision, effectively prioritize tasks, and seek support from team members when needed. A strong understanding of the work and attention to detail are key to success in this role.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to perform repetitive data entry with accuracy
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, computer-based environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal systems
  • Reliable, predictable attendance during scheduled hours
  • Ability to work independently after training while collaborating with a team

Nice To Haves

  • Fast and accurate typing skills (50+ WPM preferred)
  • Prior data entry, clerical, or administrative experience
  • Experience working with structured processes or compliance-driven tasks
  • Familiarity with claims, insurance, or regulatory reporting environments

Responsibilities

  • Enter and update claim and injury data into EDI reporting systems
  • Review data for completeness and accuracy prior to submission
  • Submit required injury and accident reports to state agencies within regulatory deadlines
  • Identify missing or inconsistent information and coordinate resolution with internal teams
  • Maintain organized records and documentation related to EDI submissions
  • Meet daily data volume expectations while maintaining high accuracy standards
  • Follow established procedures and reporting guidelines consistently
  • Support the EDI team with assigned projects and workload needs
  • Communicate clearly with team members regarding errors, corrections, or updates
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive claim and personal information
