About The Position

The Edgebander Operator works in the Mill department and operates an edgebander machine to apply laminate or vinyl materials to wood parts. The role involves setting up and adjusting the machine, interpreting shop paperwork and work diagrams, and trimming and checking parts for accuracy. This is a second-shift position.

Requirements

• Must be able to interpret shop paperwork.
• Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch.
• Must pass a drug test.
• Must be able to stand and walk for 8–10 hours per day.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled area during summer months.
• Must be able to use basic hand tools, including a screw gun, drill, hand router, and table saw.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust the edgebander to run parts.
• Read and interpret work diagrams and paperwork.
• Trim parts and check their accuracy.
• Clean parts as needed.
