EDA and CAD Lead Engineer / Manager

About The Position

We are seeking an experienced EDA/CAD lead engineer to join the experience design and layout team developing mixed-signal ICs. This hands-on technical position involves ASIC design and development from concept through production and requires in-depth technical expertise and collaboration with experienced engineers. The role is remote, with occasional travel to the Bay Area (<20%). The annual salary range is $140,000–$200,000 USD.

Requirements

At least 5 years of hands-on experience in CMOS (bulk and advanced FinFET) IC implementation across multiple process technologies.
Strong experience with Cadence and other EDA tools, including Virtuoso, Calibre, and Voltus.
Experience providing support for multiple dedicated tapeouts.
Experience with Tcl, Python, Perl, Makefile, and shell scripting.
Formal Cadence digital layout training or certification.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Track record of delivering high-quality designs on time in fast-paced environments.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field (preferred).
Experience with CMOS and/or SiGe Process Development Kits.
Experience working on multidisciplinary teams with RF/Mixed Signal, Hardware, Firmware, and Software engineers.

Responsibilities

Perform floor planning and IP integration.
Create pad rings.
Work with analog/mixed-signal designers on high-performance layout integration.
Work with digital designers on DFT/ATPG/Scan logic integration.
Perform LVS/DRC checks and resolve issues.
Integrate Digital/RF/mmWave blocks into IC top level.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support timely project execution and design tape-outs.
Stay current with trends and technologies in wideband high-speed IC design and apply them to improve project outcomes.
