About The Position
Are you an experienced Emergency Department (ED) Tech looking for an exciting and dynamic role? As a member of the WellStar Enterprise Support Team (W.E.S.T.) Float Pool, you’ll bring your skills to multiple WellStar facilities, jumping-in where you’re needed most! Requirements
- 3+ years of recent, direct patient care experience in an Emergency Department.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- BLS from AHA required.
- Quick thinking, strong teamwork, and the ability to thrive in high-pressure situations.
Responsibilities
- Take vital signs, perform 12-lead EKGs, assist with wound care, and respond to urgent needs.
- Help with catheterization, sterile tray prep, dressing changes, and phlebotomy.
- Monitor and troubleshoot tele-sitter carts, ensuring seamless operation.
- Safely move patients and essential medical equipment.
- Identify abnormal heart rhythms and report findings to the team.
- Keep detailed records, ensuring compliance with WellStar policies.
