About The Position

The ED Tech participates in basic nursing care for patients from admission through discharge and performs non-nursing functions in the Emergency Department. Duties may include CNA duties, performing EKGs, keeping ED rooms clean and stocked, clerical work, answering phones, and relaying messages appropriately. The role requires computer use, typing, reading, and writing, as well as frequent lifting, moving, standing, and transferring patients or residents. The position is responsible to the Emergency Department nurses, physician, and ED manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Active CNA, CMA, or EMT certification in the State of Georgia.
• Ability to use a computer and perform typing, reading, and writing.
• Ability to frequently lift, move, stand, and transfer patients or residents.

Nice To Haves

• Emergency Department experience preferred.
