About The Position

As a member of the WellStar Enterprise Support Team (W.E.S.T.) Float Pool, you’ll bring your skills to multiple WellStar facilities, jumping-in where you’re needed most! Every shift is a new adventure, and you’ll play a critical role in providing top-tier patient care in fast-paced ED settings. You’ll support emergency teams across the WellStar network and make an immediate impact. Work in diverse emergency settings, gaining valuable hands-on experience. No two days are the same! Travel between facilities and adapt to new challenges. Collaborate with high-performing professionals who share your passion for patient care.

Requirements

• 3+ years of recent, direct patient care experience in an Emergency Department
• High school diploma or GED required
• BLS from AHA required
• Quick thinking
• Strong teamwork
• Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs
• Perform 12-lead EKGs
• Assist with wound care
• Respond to urgent needs
• Help with catheterization
• Sterile tray prep
• Dressing changes
• Phlebotomy
• Monitor and troubleshoot tele-sitter carts, ensuring seamless operation
• Safely move patients and essential medical equipment
• Identify abnormal heart rhythms and report findings to the team
• Keep detailed records, ensuring compliance with WellStar policies
